Introducing Social Transcript, the PUMA Competency Management App integrated with Moodle for microcredit structuring!

PUMA (Performance and Competency Management Application) is a performance and competency management application that measures students’ activity-based competencies. It’s a platform that measures students’ competencies by evaluating their participation in activities on and off campus, their success in training, and their contributions.

Similarly, in universities, not only class attendance but also participation in university life, active roles in projects, and involvement in on-campus social activities directly influence students’ performance.

These types of activities allow students to acquire or strengthen various skills: competencies such as leadership, teamwork, and time management are cornerstones of success in the workplace. For example, a student who has led a project develops problem-solving and decision-making skills, enabling them to perform more effectively in future job roles. The data collected in the application calculates in which areas individuals are more proficient and clarifies their areas of interest. Competency-based scoring systems provide feedback to individuals, showing them where they need to improve.

The Global Skills Taxonomy, developed by the World Economic Forum (WEF), is a classification that categorizes and standardizes critical skills for the modern workforce. This classification is based on recognized work put forward by the ESCO (European Skills, Qualifications and Occupations) and O*NET (Occupational Knowledge Network) frameworks.

The Global Skills Taxonomy offers a structured way of identifying skills in demand across industries and geographies. It categorizes skills into areas such as cognitive, technical, social, and emotional skills, highlighting the importance of skills like analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, technological literacy, and leadership.
